2015 is starting out with a bang. That kind of startling “bang” that jolts you awake in the middle of the night. You’re in a cold sweat, and you don’t know why.
Metaphorically, of course.
I would show you photos from the inside, but frankly dear reader, I don’t want to scare you. My older brother asked me if we needed help to look at the house before we bought it, as he has some insights into what to look for in case something is wrong. I laughed and laughed and laughed (to stifle the tears): The house is mainly comprised of “something wrongs”. The first time I wrote that last sentence, I accidentally wrote “project” instead of “house” which probably gives you a good indication of what we’ve gotten ourselves in to. Oh, boy.
Really though: I’m so excited I could puke. This olde timey farmhouse outside of Ottawa is my new home. We have a couple projects that we have to jump in to this weekend. We need to find an electrician, upgrade the insulation, and address the ghost that lives there. I wonder if they respond well to eviction letters.
Life is good! I can deal with a light haunting, and with a little bit of a ‘project’. Mark my words: This is going to be a disaster great.
I’ll post more pictures in the days to come!
