The house diaries: Beauty in the details

Photo credits for this post go to the lovely Marla McKenna — see more of her work here.

I wanted to try something a little different. The house that we bought is a bit of an oddity: It was untouched for nearly a hundred years, and we’re constantly finding treasures from the past owner. Sadly, part of renovating means that the house is quickly losing touch with its past.

So, today’s post is a photo exhibit of the oddities, textures, colours, and light, that harken back to its “life” before us.

I could post a hundred of these types of posts, and still have material left over. Enjoy!
